'Hallelujah!' Concert 27th June 2026

Our ‘Hallelujah!’ 80th Anniversary concert on 27th June 2026 was a joyful celebration of the music of Handel, introduced by BBC Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny. In its early days, the choir used to end every concert with the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’, a tradition which has thankfully fallen by the wayside. However, we decided it was fitting to revive the custom for this concert only, and although it was a big ask after singing the very challenging ‘Dixit Dominus’, the choir and soloists rose to the occasion, as did many of the audience who stood and joined in.
